About

Ali comes from a very rural background in Turkey. He came to the UK in 1997 and started work in a London hotel as a chef. He met his wife Gulden in this country and they have now been married for 16 years with three children.

Always wanting to run his own business, he owned a great Turkish restaurant in Eastbourne. Along with this, then bought Piazza in Heathfield, which has grown to be very successful. This also introduced him to the Heathfield area, where he bought what is now Heathes.

Now Ali has decided to go back to his roots and start cooking traditional Turkish cuisine, which a really stylish look, feel and taste.

Our head chef has many innovative ideas and offers really stylish cuisine, worthy of any London Turkish restaurant.

He includes contemporary classics with familiar ingredients, yet he turns them on their head and creates something spectacular.
